We carry out our tree services to the British Standard Recommendations BS3998. Our main priorities are good practise and safety! We cover all aspects of tree surgery and hedge maintenance, including stump grinding, and work to trees in a conservation area or with tree preservation orders.

Tree Removal
In the event that your tree needs to be removed because of its health, or any other causes, Mike is the expert for the job!
When removing the tree, you have the option to have stump removed as well.
By choosing us you are choosing experts who will remove the tree safely and tidily.
Pollard
When a tree is diseased or dying a pollard can be the best option to save it, it is also good for promoting healthier growth in the future. Pollarding is the pruning of upper branches of a tree hard leaving the main dominant stems.
Sadly not every tree that has had a pollard can survive, we recommend regular check ups to keep an eye and ensure your tree is living its best life.
Crown Reduction
A reduction can be recommended for numerous reasons but the two mains are for re-shaping purposes and to give the tree a break from heavy limbs causing it strain.
A crown reduction is where we reduce the overall size of the tree. 30% is the British Standard but we work to what will suit you and your tree’s needs best.
Crown Thinning
Crown thinning is a great way to allow more light into an area without changing the overall shape of the tree.
We do this by removing a portion of smaller branches in the outer crown.
Crown Lift
A crown lift is the removal of lower branches. This increase’s the clearance between ground level and the lowest branch which allows more access below the tree.
Hedge Services
Tree doctors don’t only work on trees! Our hedge reductions and trimming service can help maintain your hedgerows and other garden shrubs that may be overgrown.
